Paragon is a privately held company, which has thrived under the leadership of Roberto and Ricardo Jinich. Paragon has managed and invested funds on behalf of family offices, institutional investors as well as high net worth individuals, many of whom have invested in Paragon sponsored transactions for almost twenty years. Executive Team
Roberto Jinich - Co-founder

Roberto has a BS from Boston University in Electrical Engineering and a MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Construction Management. He is a member of the Educational Council of MIT.
Ricardo Jinich - Co-founder

His expertise includes sourcing, analyzing, structuring and managing investment opportunities for Paragon. His experience in real estate transactions includes multifamily, retail and industrial properties, as well as commercial and residential development. He currently oversees the asset management of Paragon's retail, mixed use, office and industrial holdings, and manages the acquisition and disposition of all of Paragon's investments.
Ricardo received his BS in Civil Engineering from Tufts University and his MBA from Harvard Business School. Ricardo is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
Daniel Berkus - Director

Dan has held memberships in the Urban Land Institute, the Building Industry Association, NAIOP, ICSC, and holds a California Real Estate Brokers License. He previously sat on the Residential Real Estate Committee of the Policy Advisory Board at the University of San Diego and was the Co-Founder/Former Chair of USD Real Estate Alumni Association. In 2018, he was named as a Finalist by the San Diego Business Journal as one of San Diego’s Next 40 Top Business Leaders Under 40.
Dan holds a Masters Degree in Real Estate from the University of San Diego, and a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Matt Berlin - Controller

Matt serves as Controller and has led all financial, lender, and investor reporting since he began with Paragon in January 2019.
Matt has implemented and continues to incorporate scalable and sustainable technological solutions to maximize asset operational efficiency, streamline reporting, and enhance investor communication and transparency. He ensures these initiatives are applied consistently throughout the national portfolio via integration and oversight of Paragon’s third-party property management companies.
Prior to joining Paragon, Matt served as VP of Finance for two privately-held Class A office, retail, and medical real estate firms totaling over $2 billion in assets. Matt holds a BA in Business Economics with Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Matt is a San Diego native.
